I am a Storyteller, here to capture your story

I love telling a story through a series of Photos that last a lifetime and more. A mom to 6 grown children, 3 grandchildren and one daughter in law. I have always loved capturing those moments through the window of a camera.

My first was a 110 film camera, I loved that camera so much, I remember taking photos' of the Queen when she came to visit our little city in Brantford, Ontario, Canada in the 1980's. This was a very important time in life for Canadians, especially those who lived in my little city of Brantford. Skipping school to attend this important historical event remains ingrained in my mind, even to this day. That was when I really started taking photographs more seriously. After getting the photo's back from the store I couldn't wait to take more photo's. It really was a pivotal point in my journey with my camera.

I first got a SLR in the early 2000's when I relocated to British Columbia from Ontario. My Best friend who was a photographer started teaching me how to really get those great shots as we went on photo shoots of cities, almost, every week. Fast forward to today I now shoot with a Nikon D7000 DSLR. Loving every moment I am able to spend behind the camera.

In my camera bag I have a few different lenses that I use. I have a few prime lenses they are the 35, 50 and 85mm, my zoom lenses include a 24-70mm and a 18-200 mm lens. The 24-70mm doesn't come off the camera body very often as I find it offers me all I need on a daily basis. It really does handle great in all situations of lighting. I have a Speedlight when I need a boost of light. I also have a few macro extension tubes to get really super close to something,. As an example I would use these for a wedding or for newborn photography.

I love capturing special moments for others. I hope to capture many more family, engagement, wedding and other photography opportunities in the coming days, weeks, months and years.
